Patients are seen via appointment or walk in's, please note that booked appointments will shorten your waiting time. Please call 02 4605 9999 for an appointment.   Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP.   Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay. Please advise our staff if your details have changed.  Longer consultation times are also available, please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time.   If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you.   Please let us know when you make the appointment.

Home Visits

Generally we prefer you to come to the Practice so that we have all the right equipment at hand.  Home visits are available if deemed necessary.  A fee may be charged.

After Hours Service

Telephone Calls To Your doctor

Doctors will take telephone calls from patients but if they are with other patients your messages will be taken and you will be called back as soon as possible.  Your call will be put straight through to a doctor in an emergency.

Repeat Prescriptions And Referrals

In the best interest of your health it is our policy to not issue repeat prescriptions without consultation.

Training Doctors

Nexus Healthcare is committed to teaching trainee doctors, and as an accredited teaching practice from time to time we have students and registrars spend time with us. Reception will seek your permission for a medical student to attend your consultation with a doctor.

Fees and Payment Policy

We bulk bill for services, please bring your Medicare card with you when you visit. The doctors & staff will advise you of other costs that may arise from your consultation or treatment (eg x-ray charges.  If you are referred to another doctor (eg. a specialist) you should ask that doctor about fees & other costs that may arise.

Feedback

From time to time, this practice invites patients to complete a questionnaire on their views of the practice and how it could be improved.  These surveys are completely confidential and help us improve our services.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the care you receive from this practice, we are keen to know about it.  Please feel free to talk to one of the doctors, receptionists or the practice manager or you may like to write to us or use our suggestion box.   We take your concerns and complaints seriously.

A consultation is usually required to discuss the results unless otherwise advised by the doctor.

Reminder System

Our practice is committed to preventative care.   We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time, offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.   If you do not wish to be part of this system, please inform the receptionists.
